About Spiritus Works Publication
|
|
Spiritus Works Publication was born in 1993 with the passion and vision of Earnest L. Tan. He saw the need to create a line of educational materials that are both innovative and inspirational.
The word, Spiritus, was adopted from a Steven Spielberg film, Always. In one scene, Audrey Hepburn who played an angel, defined Spiritus as "divine breath" and "inspiration."
The publication was officially launched on November 07, 1993 in the alma mater of Earnest, Xavier School. Two books and an audio-cassette tape were introduced. These were: the revised edition of Living Life Fully, which had previously sold more than 6,000 copies by Felta Publishing; How to Attract Love; and a pioneering effort utilizing audio-cassette tape, Gentle Presence (Bringing Back the Warmth of Your Humanity). In 1995, Gentle Presence was published in book version with additional vignettes and meditation guide.

In 1996, Values: The Guiding Stars by which We Navigate Our Lives was published. This unique guidebook features a set of 28 Value Cards, which can be used to help a person clarify and reflect on personal values in an interesting and non-threatening manner. A revised edition was printed in 2001. |

In 1998, Spiritus launched two books simultaneously. Along Life's Journey... (100 Words of Hope by Earnest L. Tan) is a collection of quotes from his earlier works and is his contribution to the Philippine Centennial Celebration. Of Angels, Butterflies and Clowns (Rediscovering Faith, Hope and Love) is a reflection of faith, hope and love using metaphors--angels for faith, butterflies for hope and clowns for love. |

Your Greatest Gift for Your Greatest Love was published in 2000 as a guidebook for people who care for and nurture children. It contains a framework plus 32 activities to work on. It is also a training manual for those who wish to conduct Parent Enrichment Programs. |

Through A Dark Tunnel (Midlife Chronicles) was published in 2002. Earnest shares his own struggles with midlife and invites the reader to embark on the same inward journey. |

Heart Sense: Your Guide to Emotional Wellness newly published in 2006. Heart Sense sharpens the sense-ability and response-ability essential in our effort to attain emotional wellness. The author has designed several activities to help us befriend, accept and manage all our emotions. |
